*This project is to see if we can make a good matte glaze at cone 04 using high MgO (like at medium or high temperature).

From the G1916 base this reduces the CaO for MgO, increases B2O3 to melt it better (to accommodate the MgO, and increased Al2O3).

The expansion is low, that should prevent crazing.

If this does not work try sourcing the MgO from Mag Carbonate (traditionally done for matte glazes at low fire).
