Notes
This is part of development of a new recipe for Plainsman H550. It is being made from A2 ball clay and 3D (the main material in Ravenscrag Slip). This produces a much smoother and more plastic body of better maturity. Fired color is very similar.
H450 is smoother and more plastic than H550, but people have not been buying it because it costs more. This one is as good or better than H450, but will cost the same or less than H550.
This has a unique rubbery plasticity, thus there is less liklihood of over extending a piece during throwing, there is no tendency to split when pulling handles and it lubricates with less slip and water than normally necessary.
